This workshop is offered just in time for the Autumn Equinox. Can you feel the shift? Nature is in transition. The seasons are changing which means it is time to give extra attention to self-care. According to Ayurveda, (the traditional medical system from India and sister science to Yoga), the impact of the seasons is one of the main causes of disease. That’s because changes in the environment have an impact on the body, the mind, and the emotions. In times of transition, we are more vulnerable and special self-care is needed to avoid getting dragged down by illness.
If you have ever felt “off” or especially anxious as temperatures start to cool, remember, we are part of the natural world around us. By taking simple proactive steps to ease our transition into the Fall Season, we can empower ourselves by using simple Ayurvedic and Yogic practices.
In this workshop, we will explore:
Basic introduction to Ayurveda
Seasonal daily routine
Dietary tips and recommendations
Yoga asana (postures) that are nurturing and grounding
Pranayama (Yogic breathing) for the season
No previous Yoga experience is required.
Registration in advance is required. This will be offered in-studio and virtually live online simultaneously.
In-studio attendance is limited to 8 spaces, with 6 ft spacing between mats. Facial coverage/mask wearing is required while in the lobby and while in the yoga room as you settle in on your mat. Students have the option to remove their mask once the class has begun, however it is encouraged to keep on.
