  • Port 32 Marina Clubhouse 4234 Lakeside Drive Jacksonville, FL, 32210 United States (map)

Intentional Sound + Mindful Stretch = Self Healing

Honor yourself and shift your focus in this profound two-hour workshop. Elizabeth will expertly guide you to soften into Yin Yoga postures while Kellie balances your energy system offering Reiki and using sound. Tibetan Singing Bowls will bring about deep vibration, healing, and relaxation.  Combining stretch & sound with your personal intention will set you up for a complete release and deep relaxation to align you to your highest wellbeing.

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative, yet powerful practice, done seated or lying down. In Yin Yoga we hold different shapes with our body in stillness, according to our own unique structure, for 1-10 minutes at a time. This gives us space to develop a deep awareness as well as physically affect our fascia resulting in increased mobility, stabilization, and energy flow. Because Yin targets the connective tissues such as ligaments and fascia rather than muscles, the release from Yin is unlike that from other classes. A perfect complement to dynamic forms of yoga, Yin promotes deep release and relaxation.

Studies have shown that Tibetan Singing Bowls have the ability to:

· induce a deep relaxation of muscles, joints, organs
· reduce stress and stress related disorders, lower blood pressure and heart rate
· improve sleep
· balance the chakras (energy centers of the body)
· detoxify the body
· help with pain management, addictions, depression and anxiety

"If we accept that sound is vibration, and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is “heard” not only through our ears but through every cell in our body.”  (Excerpt from The Healing Power Of Sound by Mitchell L. Gaynor, MD)
