WHY CLEANSE?

According to Ayurveda the time just before and just after the season change is the most powerful cycle in nature and cleansing at this time is a vital part of living an aligned life. This cleanse can be undertaken at any time of year but cleansing during the junction between the seasons when the body is already ripe with a sense of transition, provides us with an important means of clearing accumulated waste and toxicity from the mind and tissues. According to Ayurveda the most important times to cleanse are during springtime and autumn. Cleansing in spring helps the body to expel excess mucus and fat that accumulated in winter, as well as maximizing our body’s natural inclination to discharge what it no longer needs. An autumn cleanse will bolster the immune system during cold and flu season and help the body expel excess heat from summer.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

If you’re noticing:

HOW IT WORKS

We start preparing one week prior to the actual cleanse dates by slowly reducing physical and mental stressors as well as getting clear on why we are cleansing, gathering supplies needed and setting the 3 days aside on our calendars.

This is a 3 day cleanse using a Mono-diet of khichdi, a simple, porridge-like blend of beans, rice and healing spices, considered in Ayurveda to have nourishing, healing, and cleansing benefits. This method supports digestion, elimination, and the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Once you register, you will be added to the dedicated private Facebook group which we use to support each other. You will receive a pdf manual with all necessary information for the cleanse period, including:

  • pre and post cleanse guidance

  • cleanse shopping list

  • daily self care routine

  • recipes

  • Yoga suggestions including asana, pranayam and meditation

Sunday, October 3rd: Yoga Nidra class via Zoom @11:15am EDT

Monday, October 4th: Reintegration
